Yes. You can hire one, two, three or more mobile scaffold towers depending on your project requirements and availability.

Our mobile scaffold towers have a maximum platform height of 3.85 m, an overall height of 4.85 m and a maximum reach height of approximately 5.85 m. The platforms can be lowered from the maximum height in 400 mm increments to suit the job. See our scaffold height guide for the available settings.

Choose the platform height that lets you work comfortably without standing on boxes, ladders or other objects placed on the platform. Tell us the task and working height and we can help select the most suitable option.

Using the Scaffold

Yes, mobile scaffold can be used indoors or outdoors when it is assembled correctly and positioned on a firm, level and suitable surface. Outdoor use also requires attention to wind and weather conditions.

No. Towers should be unoccupied before it is moved, with tools and loose materials removed or secured. Recheck each tower and lock the castors before anyone climbs back onto it.

Yes. All castor brakes should be locked whenever the towers are being climbed or used. Unlock them only when an unoccupied tower is being repositioned.

Outriggers or other stabilisers may be required depending on tower height, configuration, manufacturer instructions and site conditions. They must be correctly fitted and bear on a firm surface.

It should only be used on a firm, level surface capable of supporting the towers and their loads. Soft, sloping or uneven ground may require a different access solution or additional site controls.

ScaffedUp supplies these towers on a dry-hire basis only and does not erect, alter or dismantle them. The hirer is responsible for ensuring assembly and alteration are completed by a competent person in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable requirements.

Safety & Compliance

Yes. Check each tower before use and after it has been moved, altered or exposed to conditions that may affect it. Look for damaged components, missing braces, unlocked castors and incorrect stabilisation.

Do not use a mobile scaffold when wind or weather could make it unstable or unsafe. Stop work if conditions deteriorate and follow the manufacturer's wind and securing instructions.

Use the supplied internal ladder or designated access system and keep trapdoors closed while working. Do not climb the outside of the tower unless the manufacturer's instructions specifically permit it.

No. Do not use ladders, boxes or other improvised items on the platform to gain extra height. Select a taller compliant tower instead.

The safe working load depends on the specific tower and platform configuration. Do not exceed the stated load rating, and include workers, tools and materials when calculating the total load.

Only necessary tools and materials should be kept on the platform, within the safe working load. Keep the deck clear of trip hazards and secure items that could fall.

Scaffold must be kept clear of overhead and nearby electrical hazards. The required separation depends on the voltage and site conditions, so obtain appropriate advice before positioning or moving a tower near power lines.

Do not use the scaffold. Isolate the affected tower and contact us so the component can be assessed or replaced. Never substitute non-matching parts or make temporary repairs.
